School-Based Youth Program

Shape Up Across Oregon is offered free of charge to elementary and middle school students due to the 2008 sponsorship from the following organizations:
  • Fred Meyer Fund
  • Oregon Dairy Council
  • Cascade Health Community
  • Oregon Department of Human Services
  • Samaritan Health Services
  • Tuality Healthcare
  • Salem Hospital
  • Governor's Council on Physical Fitness & Sports
  • Oregon Department of Education

  • Students sign up to participate in Shape Up Across Oregon with the school coordinator, generally a PE teacher or classroom teacher. Those students, who complete the imaginary journey within the month of April, will receive a certificate of completion signed by the governor as well as become eligible to receive a variety of prizes.
